Palaemon Marine Services has been in the shipping field for over 20 years, specializing in Ship Management & Crew Management. In today’s modern and technical world, Ship Owners and Managers require high quality and well-trained sea staff to meet the requirements of today’s shipping. CAPT. KHALID RASHID KHAN
Managing Director / CEO
Khalid is responsible for policy making, business development and heads the Operations of the company.
Achieving his first command in 1992, with Gulf East Ship Management, he started his career at sea as a deck cadet in 1979 on the Gulf East training ship MV Eastern Academy which was affiliated with Warsash college in Southhampton and obtaining his Master Mariner’s Certificate of Competency from the United Kingdom. During his sea career, Khalid served as Master on VLCCs and Product Tankers, G. Cargo, Bulk Carriers, Reefer cargo etc.
From 1992 Khalid joined Terra-Marine where he commanded various sizes and types of vessels including VLCCs. In 1998 he joined Terra-Marine office where he headed the Business Development section as Manager and progressed with the company to Director Fleet Operations.
While the manager, Capt. Khalid Rashid Khan was then heading the Ship Management, Crew Management, QA Dept; Claims & Survey Departments of the company and was the DPA & CSO for seven vessels which were under full technical Management with the company for over 10 years.
With his extensive experience on tankers, he went on to conduct lectures on “Tanker Safety”, at the various Institutes and also developed various value added course which included Pre joining Induction course, Electronic and Control Technology course.
In May 2011 Khalid left Terra-Marine and started his own venture for providing Ship Management, Crewing Management and various Marine Services, which includes port agency, Inspection & surveys, Insurance claims, etc.
